Match 1

Tag Team Match

Rex Armstrong & Harry Sefton defeats Big Dangerous Scary Mammals (Charles Crowley/Clementine) by pinfall

We kicked off the show with tag team action as Big Dangerous Scary Mammals took on Rex Armstrong and Harry Sefton in a bout to decide #1 contenders for The Business' UKPW Tag Team Titles. Sefton & Armstrong already hold a victory over the champions and came into this match looking to score a legitimate shot at the titles but may have underestimated their opponents early on, struggling to sustain any offence for too long. It was Sefton who broke the deadlock, turning the tables on Charles Crowley & Clementine with some unorthodox techniques of his own. After trading a dizzying amount of pins with Crowley, seemingly chopped him in the throat out of frustration and rolled him up for the pin. Rex Armstrong seemed somewhat bewildered by the manner of their victory but Two Good Eggs are now the number 1 contenders. One has to wonder how Harry feels about winning a title shot for someone else, as JJ Lynch returns for the match in Falconwood.

Match 2

Singles Match

Mike Bird defeats 'Top Gun' Tommy Kyle by pinfall

Bird has been on the warpath since his debut at The Battle Of The Bay, with the veteran confidently putting away all comers with his gnarly Crossface. Kyle on the other hand picked up a loss on his debut at Press Start, but looked sharp in defeat against former UKPW Champion Alexander Roth. Kyle started brightly, keeping his cool and refusing to be riled up by Bird's attitude and inflammatory approach. It was working well for him until a brief lapse in concentration saw the veteran seize his opportunity and begin to methodically work over the younger man, cutting him off every time he began to build any momentum. Despite the barrage of offence it looked like a huge upset might be on the cards when Kyle turned Bird inside out with a huge lariat.  Tommy Kyle quickly found himself in the danger zone as Bird locked in that signature Crossface for the win.

Match 3

Singles Match

'The Locksmith' Evie Madden defeats Livvii Grace by pinfall, advancing to the UKPW Women's Championship Semi-Finals

The day's third match was the first of two semi-finals in the UKPW Women's Title Tournament as 'The Locksmith' Evie Madden squared off with Livvi Grace. Both of these women came through tough battles at Press Start to be here, with Evie Madden defeating Clementine, and Livvii Grace coming out on top against Kymmie A Kiss. But this would be a different test for them both as Madden's technical prowess clashed with the superior strength and power of Grace. And it was Grace that took the early advantage connecting with some big shots and heavy impacts until Madden's speed and creativity saw her gain a slight edge, and even an early opportunity to lock in her trademark hold. Madden stayed firmly in the drivers seat from that point on, wearing down the limbs of Livvii Grace, and although she fought back with some devastating running knees, Grace could not escape The Locksmith who tired her up with The Master Key for the submission victory. Madden has punched her ticket to the final in Falconwood, but who will she face there?

Match 4

Singles Match

'The Wolf Of Brawl Street' Alexander Roth defeats 'The King' RJ Singh by pinfall

Rounding out the first half, 'The Wolf Of Brawlstreet' Alexander Roth continues his quest for a UKPW Title shot in a must win match against 'The King' RJ Singh. Alexander Roth needs no introduction to the UKPW faithful as the former champion is a huge fan favourite, but neither does RJ Singh who, despite making his debut at Tables, Ladders & Scares is a nationally renowned and hugely respected talent who has somehow found himself doing the bidding of our villainous champion Dow Jones. And it did seem like maybe Singh had had a change of attitude, with him kicking away Roth's pre-match offer of a handshake to a chorus of boos from those in attendance. This was perhaps one of the most anticipated clashes of the day, with both men looking confident and refusing to give an inch, trading strikes and holds as they struggled to find an opening. Singh repeatedly tried to leverage his greater experience to control the pace of the match, coaxing Roth out of the ring before dumping him hard on the ring apron. This was the start of a period of dominance for RJ Singh who again and again found himself frustrated by Roth's tenacity and heart. 'The Wolf of Brawlstreet' fought through it all and caught Singh with 'The Last Shot' totally against the run of play, before hitting the 'Roth Bottom' for the 1-2-3.

Alexander Roth suffered a post-match attack from Dow Jones, who levelled him with a steel chair and taunting him until he was chased off by a clearly angered RJ Singh.

Match 5

Singles Match

'Big Wavy' Roy Johnson defeats David Francisco by pinfall

We came back strong from the intermission, as David Francisco took on 'Big Wavy' Roy Johnson. Both men were in action at the Grapplers Tale in Canterbury with Johnson recording a big win over Jordan Saeed and Francisco losing out in the main event to Simon Miller. The match started tentatively, but it was Johnson who made headway first capitalising on his slight strength advantage to take control early on, working Francisco over with big strikes and heavy impacts. It looked as though 'Big Way' was going to put the match to bed early with the pounce but this gave Francisco the window he needed to get back into the match and gave him the opportunity to lay in some heavy offence of his own. Francisco enjoyed a spell of dominance and nearly sealed himself the win twice with a superkick and a nasty looking cloverleaf but Johnson made it to the ropes both times, seizing on Francisco's frustration to finally connect with the huge running shoulder tackle and a huge lariat for the win. That makes it two in a row for Roy Johnson and two back to back defeats for David Francisco.

Match 6

Singles Match

'The Anti-Conformist' Kira Chimera defeats Ava White by pinfall, advancing to the UKPW Women's Championship Semi-Finals

It was then time to fill the final slot in the UKPW Women's Title Tournament final as 'The Fiesty Female' Ava White took on 'The Anti-conformist' Kira Chimera. Both of these competitors booked their place in the semi-finals at The Grapplers Tale, where Kira Chimera dominated Bunny Mallow and Ava White stole a win from Jayde, catching her with the surprise roll-up. And it would be Ava White who took the initiative at the bell, clearly looking to overwhelm her more experienced opponent with a vigorous early volley of attacks. But Kira is ruthless and it only took a couple of well placed strikes to totally change the complexion of the match, with Ava suddenly looking like she had bitten off more than she could chew. Chimera stayed on top for a good period, subduing her opponent with swift kicks and strong forearm strikes, until Ava was able to sneak in some big shots of her own to again turn the tables nearly picking up the win herself after landing a big spinning back kick for a count of 2. And there was more than just a whiff of shenanigans to the matches conclusion, as the referee missed what clearly would have been a pinfall win for White, while disposing of Chimera's trademark baseball bat. Chimera then rubbed salt into the wound by rolling up Ava White and using the ropes for leverage, which was again missed by the referee. Ava White was incensed by the result but Kira Chimera joins Evie Madden in the final.

*NEW INTER-REGIONAL CHAMPION*

'The Kid Without Fear' Danny Black defeats Cali Gray, KM Lane, Maverick Mayhew & Truman Roswell by retrieving the UKPW Inter-Regional Championship

Finally the time had arrived for the days main event, unfortunately Buff Broadside was not medically cleared to defend his UKPW Inter-Regional Title, choosing to end his reign and vacate the championship. This of course meant that we were now guaranteed to have a new champion! Competing for the gold would be Truman Roswell, Cali Gray, KM Lane, 'The Kid Without Fear' Danny Black and former UKPW Inter-Regional Champion Maverick Mayhew. The Crowd were clearly excited for the match, with audience members young and old in fine voice and ready for our fist ever Tables, Ladders & Scares match. And it would seem that they were not disappointed, with all 5 participants going hell for leather from the start, with death defying dives, springboard Moonsaults and copious chair shots as each man tried to stake their claim to the gold. This match was wild throughout and had the audience on the edge of their seats as the action bubbled away both inside and outside of the ring. Each man had an opportunity to pick up the win but it was Cali Gray and Truman Roswell who came closest in the early stages, with each man just inches from victory before being sent crashing back to earth. The end finally came after after both Maverick Mayhew and KM Lane were left incapacitated after being driven through tables at ringside and Roswell was taken out of contention by a stunning cutter from Danny Black, who was then able to ascend the ladder and retrieve the title belt for the win.

'The Kid Without Fear' Danny Black is your NEW UKPW Inter-Regional Champion and both he and the audience, who were on their feet, were clearly thrilled by the outcome.
