'Trashman' Marcus Broome defeats 'The Genius' Fentos by pinfall
While 'Trashman' looked to pick up his second Crowning Glory Trophy, Fentos aimed to pick up his first. Both man began exchanging holds in a feeling out process. 'Trashman' tried to use his speed and unpredictability, but Fentos soon gained control by use of his strength advantage. Fentos employed a slow pace to ware down his erratic opponent, but 'Trashman' fought back throughout. Finally, 'Trashman' dodged a lunging maneuver from Fentos and created a opening to comeback. Broome attempted his trademark top rope Elbow Drop, but Fentos got his long legs up and kicked 'Trashman' in the face. It looked like Fentos would take the victory, but another dodge allowed 'Trashman' to execute a quick rollup for the victory.
Dow Jones vs Sid Manelli ends in a draw by double countout
Dow attacked Sid as he entered the ring, forcing the referee to start the contest immediately. Dow maintained his aggressive advantage for a significant portion of the bout, but Manellli found brief openings to administer some payback. After series of arm throws from Manelli, Dow fled to the outside of the ring. Both men continued to brawl around the sport centre, with Manelli even jump off the audience bleachers onto Dow! Unfortunately, after the gigantic jump, neither man was able to return to the ring before the referee's count. This bout was, therefore, ruled a draw.
This means that 'Trashman', technically, was the 2018 Crowning Glory Trophy winner, but 'Trashman' soon appeared at ringside. Broome took the microphone and said that the he, and the fans, don't want him to win this way. So 'Trashman' asked UKPW Officials to make the main event a 3-Way Match for the Crowning Glory Trophy! Officials agreed; the match was set.
Old School Violence (Daz/Earl black Jr) defeats N.I.C (Charlie Carter/Oisin Delaney) by submission, retaining the UKPW Tag Team Championships
A classic British style exchange kicked off the contest as both teams exhibited their technical skills. The veteran team of Old School Violence gained a small advantage in this style. Carter made the tag to Delaney after Black Jr secured a surprise Ankle Lock on Carter! The young duo didn't appreciate Black Jr's offense and quickly took to administering a series of venomous strikes. Despite a brief flurry from Old School Violence, N.I.C soon regained control due to some miscommunication. Old School Violence continued to fight back, but N.I.C always seemed to have an answer. Old School Violence finally created separation and Black Jr tagged in, who unleashed a house of fire on N.I.C! Both teams exchanged offense until the reigning UKPW Tag Team Champions caught N.I.C in a pair of submission holds. The pain was too much and the challengers tapped out.
Maverick Mayhew defeats 'Muscles' Mansfield by pinfall, retaining the UKPW Inter-Regional Championship
Mansfield took his time in taking off his sparkly robe (much to the annoyance of the audience in Gillingham.) Mansfield eventually took his ring robe off, but immediately threw it over Mayhew's head and attacked him! Mansfield maintained a methodical beatdown to keep Mayhew's speed under wraps. Mayhew mounted some brief offense, but the veteran Mansfield cut the youngster off quickly. Despite the punishment inflicted by 'Muscles', Mayhew continued to fight back and took every opportunity he could to level the playing field. Mayhew mustered all of his energy to execute a gigantic Brainbuster, but Mansfield put his foot on the ropes to break the pinfall attempt. After an unseen low blow from Mansfield, Mayhew reversed the sneaky pinfall attempt to hit a second Brainbuster for the win!
After the contest, Mansfield pretended to shake Mayhew's hand out of respect, but kicked Mayhew in the groin.
Ashmore & David Francisco defeats The Hitset ('The Wolf Of Brawl Street' Alexander Roth/Kieran Kurupt) by pinfall
Despite a brief exchange of technical holds at the offset, this bout quickly descended into a grudge match (and with the history between Ashmore and Roth, we wouldn't expect anything different.) Ashmore & Francisco used the numbers game to isolate Roth, unleashing a calculated attack on the #1 Contender to Ashmore's UKPW Championship. Roth created some separation and tagged in Kurupt who took advantage over his opponents. However Ashmore & Francisco soon regained control after a huge overhead throw by Francisco. Kurupt consistently kept his opponents on the backfoot, but the number's advantage often shut him down. Finally, with Roth seething on the apron, Kurupt created space and made the tag. Roth released his frustration on Francisco (while Ashmore hid from his fiery nemesis.) Unfortunately, after some clever thinking from Ashmore & Francisco, The Hitset did not pin the legal man, allowing Ashmore to sneak behind and pin Roth for the victory.
**CROWNING GLORY TROPHY WINNER**
'Trashman' Marcus Broome defeats Dow Jones and Sid Manelli
Fueled by their mutual dislike for Dow Jones (and who can blame them) 'Manelli and 'Trashman' formed a temporary alliance to take Dow out the running in their 3-Way contest. However, using a metal bin on the outside of the ring, Dow neutralised this partnership and rolled Manelli into the ring. Manelli regained momentum over Dow until 'Trashman' rejoined the contest to gain advantage. Dow used the metal bin to take the lead once more. All of these 3 men were spent. Manelli eventually covered 'Trashman' after a Cutter, but Dow pulled the referee out of the ring! Dow climbed the apron to taunt Manelli, then Manelli sent Dow flying with a dropkick! Dow launched off the ring and crashed through the commentary table!!
Manelli had effectively eliminated Dow from the match. 'Trashman' grabbed Manelli, slammed him on the floor and hit his trademark top rope Elbow Drop to win the contest! 'Trashman' is your 2x Crowning Glory Trophy Winner!
