UKPW Crowning Glory 2019

Match 1

Singles Match Crowning Glory Semi-Final

'The Wonderkid' Jonny Storm defeats Muscles Mansfield (w/ The Tycoon) by pinfall

Two veterans of British wrestling kicked off the show. Mansfield and Storm have known each other for years, but never faced off. Before the match could begin, The Tycoon said, despite his respect for Storm, it is Mansfield who would win the Crowning Glory trophy (as he did in 2016.) As the bell rang, The Tycoon tried to attack Storm from behind....but had very little effect. As Storm went to grab Tycoon, Mansfield attacked Storm from behind. Mansfield took control as a result, leading a significant portion of the match. Storm mounted frequent offense (at one point slapping The Tycoon who stood on the apron.) But The Tycoon continued to provide the distraction. Ultimately, storm evaded an attack from Mansfield, allowing him to execute a quick second rope Moonsault for the victory.

Match 2

Singles Match Crowning Glory Semi-Final

'The Genius' Fentos defeats Rex Armstrong by pinfall

The debuting Rex Armstrong has impressed many with his strength and technical acumen. As the contest began, Armstrong bested Fentos with an array of hold and counters that left 'The Genius' discombobulated. Realising this, Fentos fled to the outside and used the environment to take control over Armstrong. Fentos continued his offense with a slow beatdown on the newcomer. Armstrong frequently fought back, at one point creating significant separation to mount an elongated comeback. Armstrong's strength allowed him to slam Fentos (a man not many can slam) to gain a VERY close pinfall. Unfortunately, after hitting the ropes, Fentos caught Armstrong in a surprise Black Hole slam for the win.

Match 3

Singles Match

Maverick Mayhew defeats 'Doorman' Dom Taylor by pinfall

Mayhew was at a huge strength disadvantage from the offset, which allowed Taylor to take an early lead in the bout. Mayhew fought at every opening, but Taylor often shut him down before the former 2-time UKPW Inter-Regional Champion could muster any momentum. Finally, Mayhew's biggest opportunity came after evading a splash from Taylor. Amongst the adrenaline, Mayhew attempted a Superkick but Taylor evaded, causing Mayhew to kick the referee by mistake! While the referee was down, Taylor gave Mayhew a massive clothesline and taunted Mayhew's family in attendance. Not appreciating this, Mayhew's brother, Ryan, jumped into the ring and slapped Taylor, allowing Mayhew to land the Superkick and score the pinfall victory! Props to Ryan!

Match 4

Singles Match

Annihilation Time (Aleandro Capone/Danny Sabbath) (w/ Fentos) defeats The Business (Anton Green/'Hitman' Gabriel Myers) by pinfall

Fentos came to the ring to introduce his "newest friends." Fentos claimed he searched all across Europe to find the most vicious fighters and brought them to UKPW. The debuting Annihilation Time entered, raring to make an immediate impact against The Business. Initially, Myers' strength overwhelmed the newcomers, but Capone & Sabbath's savage style soon gave them control. Green continued to fight against their vicious strikes and created an opening to tag in Myers. Myers steamrolled through Annihilation Time and set Capone up for The Business' signature move. Suddenly, Fentos appeared and pulled Myers out of the ring. Meanwhile, Annihilation Time hit a prone Green with their Blackout for the win.

Match 5

Singles Match

Kieran Kurupt defeats Sid Manelli by pinfall, retaining the UKPW Inter-Regional Championship

Manelli took quick control of the contest with his picture-perfect technical wrestling acumen. Wrestling is in Manelli's blood and he loked to finally capture the UKPW Inter-Regional Championship. Kurupt took control after evading a charge from Manelli, slowing the pace in his favour. Manelli, similar to James Mason, is known for his sudden explosivity and frequently took back control. In the closing stages, the action became incredibly fast-paced. Manelli attempted to hit a second rope crossbody (emulating James Mason), but Kurupt used Manelli's momentum to reverse and score the pinfall victory! Terrific showing by Manelli. Both men shook hands after the bout.

Match 6

Singles Match Crowning Glory Final

**CROWNING GLORY TROPHY WINNER**

'The Genius' Fentos defeats 'The Wonderkid' Jonny Storm by forfeit

During the halftime break, Fentos and Annihilation Time assaulted Jonny Storm who was taking photos with the audience. Annihilation time threw Storm into a wall, reinjuring Storm's hand and sending him to the local A&E. As a result, Storm was unable to compete in the Crowning Glory tournament final, therefore Fentos won by forfeit! 'The Genius' celebrated his perfectly constructed Crowning Glory Trophy win in irritating fashion.

Managing Officer Sheriff Broadside said this wasn't a satisfying ending to the show, so Broadside sanctioned an impromptu Handicap Match again The Business!

Handicap Match

The Business (Anton Green/'Hitman' Gabriel Myers) defeats 'The Genius' Fentos by pinfall

In an impromptu contest, the Business came running to the ring, seeking revenge for Fentos' actions earlier in the show. Fentos tried to defend himself by swinging his new Crowning Glory Trophy at Green. But Green hit the Trophy with his bat, shattering the trophy into pieces! The Business grabbed Fentos in their double team Cutter, landing 'The Genius' directly on his head! The Business got the pinfall and gave Fentos some much deserved payback. Annihilation Time appeared at ringside and carried Fentos backstage. We get the feeling this rivalry is FAR from over...

After the event, Fentos confronted Sheriff Broadside about his "unfair" decision, but Broadside wasn't interested. As Broadside recorded a wrap-up video, Annihilation Time assaulted Broadside, and the trio quickly left the building...
