Dow Jones defeats 'Wonderkid' Jonny Storm by pinfall
Storm took control in the early stage of the contest, making Dow look foolish in the process (much to the amusement of the Falconwood faithful!) Despite being a veteran of the wrestling game, Jonny Storm eventually fell to Dow's sneaky tactics, as Dow low blowed Storm when Senior Official Martin Raymondson's attention was averted. Dow hit his Credit Crunch maneuver for the pinfall victory.
The Business (Anton Green/Gabriel Myers) defeats Annihilation Time (Aleandro Capone/Danny Sabbath) by pinfall, retaining the Tag Team Championships
Annihilation Time earned their shot at The Business and their UKPW Tag Team Championships after a losing effort in at Wildcard. There was no love lost between these teams, with action spilling around the ring, brawling around the crowd. Annihilation Time gained the advantage on Green. However, Anton's years of experience paid dividends, allowing him to tag Myers. Myers' sheer power was enough to shut Annihilation Time down. In a hard fought tag team contest, The Business retained their championships.
Kieran Kurupt defeats Maverick Mayhew by pinfall, retaining the Inter-Regional Championship
Two of UKPW's most talented performers locked horns in a Match Of The Year candidate. Both men shared an equal portion of control, never giving their opponent a chance to take considerable advantage. In the closing moments, Mayhew attempted a Brainbuster to seal the deal, but Kurupt evaded and executed his Killswitch Engage. The reigning champion Kurupt picked up the victory, but it was anyone's contest!
Sid Manelli defeats CJ Gunner, Fabio Romano, Aleandro Capone, Buff Broadside, Danny Sabbath, Harry Sefton, Solomon Lamb, and Rex Armstong
Order Of Elimination:
'The Wolf Of Brawl Street' Alexander Roth defeats Fentos by pinfall, retaining the UKPW Championship
Roth had recently past an entire year as UKPW Champion. The winner was set to face Dow Jones at Showcase in Gillignham in a few weeks time. Roth started the contest strong against his much larger opponent, but Fentos' strength advantage allowed him to take control. In a slow and methodical beatdown, Fentos retained targeted offense on Roth's lower back. Rifled with pain, Roth continued to fight and create openings. Even a gigantic Gut Wrench Powerbomb from Fentos wasn't enough to keep the champion down! Despite an attempted interference from Dow Jones, Alexander Roth held his own, pinning Fentos after a Roth Bottom. The stage was now set. Dow and Roth would go one-on-one at Showcase.
