UKPW Rampage 2018

UKPW Rampage 2018

Match 1

3-Way Match

Kieran Kurupt defeats Connor Mills and 'Trashman' Marcus Broome by pinfall

The traditional UKPW Rampage 3-Way Match opened the show. Remember, the winner of this match earns the #20 spot in the Rampage (best place), the pinned man earns #1 (worst) and the neutral man enters at #10. All men tried to gain a quick pinfall from the offset, hoping to grab the final entry with minimal effort. 'Trashman' took an early lead in the contest, fending off both Kurupt and Mills. After heading to the top rope to dive on Kurupt, Mills pulled 'Trashman' off and took lead. Mills isolated Kurupt in the ring while keeping 'Trashman' outside. 'Trashman' finally entered the ring and the three competitors exchanged a fantastic sequence of maneuvers. Ultimately, Kurupt finished the contest by hitting his Killswitch Engage on Mills.

After the contest, Kurupt offered to shake Mills' hand, but Mills refused. 'Trashman' accepted Kurupt's handshake.

Match 2

Singles Match

Officer Rogers defeats Sid Manelli by pinfall

Rogers demonstrated his strength early, launching Manelli across the ring several times. Manelli then gained advantage using his speed and wrestling acumen. As Rogers fled to the outside of the ring, Manelli used the environment to continue his momentum. Rogers gained control after dodging a charge from Manelli and began a vicious beatdown. Despite continuous fight from Manelli, a powerful Lariat from Rogers secured the victory.

Match 3

Singles Match

'Doorman' Dom Taylor defeats Earl Black Jr by pinfall

Old School Violence and The Force were both participating in the UKPW Tag Team Championship Tournament. Representatives of their respective teams, Black Jr and Taylor, looked to gain the advantage. Taylor  bombarded Black Jr as the bell rang, employing vicious strikes and throws to keep his opponent down. Black Jr attempted to mount any offense he could, but Taylor quickly cut him off. After a missed second rope splash from Taylor, Black Jr took advantage and demonstrating his incomparable strength! They field was level and Black Jr tried to submit Taylor with a Crossface. Officer Rogers appeared at ringside to distract Black Jr, which allowed Taylor to slam Black Jr for the win.

After the match, The Force (Rogers/Taylor) tried to take the UKPW Tag Team Championship belts that were on the commentary table, but Anton Green & Gabriel Myers prevented The Force from doing so.

Match 4

Singles Match

'The Wolf Of Brawl Street' Alexander Roth defeats Ashmore by disqualification

Roth earned the right to challenge the current UKPW Champion Ashmore. Before Roth entered the ring, Ashmore appeared and attacked Roth from behind. Ashmore and Roth began brawling, with Roth taking advantage as they returned to the ring, but Ashmore took control again, throwing Roth off the second rope. The Champion showed his skill, having an answer for everything Roth threw at him. Roth continued to fight and mounted a monumental comeback in the closing stages. There were plenty of occasions when everyone thought Roth had won, but it just wasn't enough. Ashmore had to pull out all the stops, even faking an ankle injury just to catch Roth off-guard! But Roth kept fighting on.

Roth gained advantage once again and went to collect Ashmore after rolling outside of the ring. Ashmore then hit Roth in the face with the UKPW Championship, causing an immediate disqualification! While Roth won the match, the championship cannot change hands due to disqualification. A very desperate tactic from Ashmore to keep his championship!

Match 5

3-Way Tag Team Match

Tag Team Tournament Quarter-Final

Smart Money (Dow Jones/Fentos) defeats N.I.C (Charlie Carter/Oisin Delaney) and Stew-Per Set (Lewis Barrett/Mountain Stew) by pinfall, advancing to the UKPW Tag Team Championship Final

These 3 teams looked to advance to the UKPW Tag Team Championship Tournament Final. The returning N.I.C were adamant on climbing to the top of the UKPW ladder, dismissing the seemingly foolish antics of Smart Money. Stew-Per Set and N.I.C had an impressive exchange, with both pairings showing their wrestling skill. Smart Money attempted to get involved, but the surprising strength of the debuting Lewis Barrett neutralised the dastardly duo. Quickly, as you can imagine, any order soon collapsed as the contest became hectic. Including a gigantic dive from the top rope onto N.I.C and Smart Money by Mountain Stew, Stew-Per Set seemed to have the contest under wraps. However, the strength of Carter & Delaney (plus the cunning of Smart Money) was too much to control. Ultimately, amongst the chaos, Fentos scored the winning pinfall on Barrett after N.I.C hit their signature maneuver. Smart Money advances to the tournament final!

Match 6

Singles Match Crowning Glory Final

Shaniqua (w/ The Tycoon) vs Tammy ended in a draw due to double count out

Both women looked to make an impactful debut in UKPW by securing the all important win. Recruited by The Tycoon, Shaniqua was vicious from the offset, blindsiding Tammy while The Tycoon distracted her. Tammy not only had to fight back, but consistently had The Tycoon meddling in the contest whenever she tried to mount any offense. After Shaniqua took too much time taunting the audience, Tammy found an opening and released her pent up aggression on her opponent. The bad-blood between these two women was evident as they began brawling on the outside of the ring. Tammy even gave The Tycoon a slap for his troubles (which received a deafening cheer from the audience!) Ultimately, both ladies were so engrossed in their brawl that neither made Senior Official Martin Raymondson's count, causing both competitors to be counted out.

Despite the match being deemed a draw, Shaniqua and Tammy continued to fight. They had to be separated by UKPW staff!
