UKPW Ring Of Fire 2015

Match 1

Singles Match

**NEW INTER-REGIONAL CHAMPION**

Sammy Smooth defeats Kyle Ashmore by pinfall

Before the contest officially began, 'Hitman' Gabriel Myers came to the ring and demanded Ashmore to give Myers the UKPW Inter-Regional Championship. Myers was physically ejected from the ring by 4-5 members of staff after a brief scuffle. Finally, the match could begin. Ina  rematch from their championship contest at Houghton Regis a few months prior, Smooth looked to finally pick up the win. Smooth took early control, concentrating the attack on Ashmore's leg (and, thus, eliminating Ashmore's aerial advantage.) Despite the obvious pain, Ashmore mounted an impressive comeback. However, Myers appeared at ringside once again, diverting the referee's attention away from the in-ring action. Smooth took advantage of this, grabbing and hitting Ashmore with the UKPW Inter-Regional Championship. Smooth picked up the win and became the new champion.

Match 2

4-Corner Elimination Tag Team Match

D&D (Cieran Donnelly/Danny Duggan) defeats Punk Out (Erin Smith/Sam Irvine), Deadly Force ('Doorman' Dom Taylor & Mr Batton), and 'Lord' Ian Loveless & James Earls, retaining the UKPW Tag Team Championships

4 teams entered the contest for the ultimate prize; the UKPW Tag Team Championships. The bout opened with an impressive exchange between D&D and Punk Out. Earls & Loveless were reluctant to enter the match, so Taylor & Mr Batton engaged with Punk Out. Punk Out and Deadly Force started to brawl on the outside of the ring. Both teams failed to make the referee's 10 count and were eliminated from the contest. Earls & Loveless then capitalised, taking quick advantage over Duggan and isolating him from his partner, Donnelly. After a surprise suplex, Duggan made the tag to Donnelly, who was a house of fire! Ultimately, D&D rode their momentum to the victory, with Donnelly pinning Earls and retaining their championships.

Match 3

Singles Match

'Hitman' Gabriel Myers defeats Kyle Ashmore by pinfall

CJ and Myers were no strangers to one another; currently one win a piece of each other in singles competition, both men looked to win the grudge once and for all. Both competitors came in hot, with fists flying before the bell could ring! CJ took an early lead, but Myers took the fight to the outside of the ring, using the environment to his advantage. Despite having everything thrown at him, CJ found an opening and almost scoring the win after catching a leaping Myers in the Gun Shot from the second rope. However, after a gigantic F5, the victory went to the 'Hitman'. 2-1 to Myers in this rivalry.

After the match, an enraged Kyle Ashmore came to the ring and put a beatdown on Myers for his actions earlier that night!

Match 4

Singles Match

'Trashman' Marcus Broome defeats Steve Manelli by pinfall

'Mr Hollywood' went straight on the attack (probably irritated that Gillingham liked Powers far better.) And despite spells of fight and astounding feats of agility from Powers, Stevens retained that control for a significant portion of the contest. Stevens' sheer muscle mass made him exhausted more quickly, giving a chance for Powers to mount and impressive flurry towards the end of the contest. Unfortunately, 'Mr Hollywood' was able to reverse Power's maneuver and hit a gigantic Powerbomb for the win. VERY impressive showing from Powers despite his loss though!

Match 5

Singles Match

'Trashman' Marcus Broome defeats Steve Manelli by pinfall

Manelli, a veteran of the British wrestling scene, has made his hatred for 'Trashman' very clear. Manelli took control immediately, using his expertise to stretch and torture Broome as much as legally possible. 'Trashman' showed fight throughout, but Manelli regained offense every time. Finally, after a warning to Manelli from the referee, 'Trashman' found the perfect opening to take it home, sealing the deal with his top rope Elbow Drop.

Stretcher Match

Dow Jones defeats The Nail by carting The Nail backstage on a stretcher

The rules for this match were as follows: In order to win the bout, you must incapacitate you opponent, place him on a stretcher and have him carted to the backstage area. Sounds simple, right?

Well, as you can imagine, it was a chaotic as it sounds. Dow and The Nail brawled on the outside of the ring. Steel chairs, tables and even a dustbin was used! This was a war. Eventually, Deadly Force ('Doorman' Dom Taylor/Mr Batton) appeared at ringside an assisted Dow in beating The Nail. After slamming The Nail through a table, the trio placed The Nasil on a stretcher and carted him backstage. Dow Jones wins the contest.
